The excitement is building!! Only 6 days to go before we take charge of a ewe and her lamb for the week! Today, as part of the Food and Farming Discovery Trust 'Loan a Lamb' project, 3 members of staff had their preliminary training. Next week, the pupils will be encouraged to be hands on with the sheep. They will have the opportunity to explore how the sheep feel and look, weigh out the food for them, feed and care for them, check them to make sure they are healthy as well as participate in many other linked activities. A fabulous learning experience! For more information on the project and the sheep involved please go to:
ToyLikeMe family! I need your help! I'm sitting here writing copy for our new 3D printed toy wheelchair toy packaging. I would like to include a line about how wheelchairs are a tool of liberation not a symbol of pity.
Something like this - "Wheelchairs are used by over 30,000 disabled children in the UK as a tool of empowerment and liberation to move around freely."
OR should it read -
"Wheelchairs are used by over 30,000 disabled children in the UK as a tool of empowerment and liberation to move around freely. (until the lift is broken, of course!)"
Can you comment and let me know your thoughts? Or write something better! Or tag a parent with a wheelchair using child or a wheelchair user themselves?
I really need your input on this one. What would you wheelchair users and parents of wheelchair users like people buying this product to know?
Thank you, Rebecca x
